MUN(Model of United Nations more like Model of United and crazy Nations)

One of the most memorable events that took place here at RCN was MUN. I was a Russian delegate trying to pass an amendment that favored torturing people(only terrorist of course)in my committee(SPECPOL). I also tried to talk in a russian accent for three days(zhat was zo fun... da??) and my friend Benji(from Cortia) kept saying, “Mende, thats not a russian accent”(How dare he?)

Aside from all the fun .We discussed a really important topic“ The Libya-Quadafi conflict.” We had to come up with a resolution. Gareth(Wales), Hala(Jordan), Lea(Spain), Andrew(Canada) and I were the russian delegates and our resolution passed with a whooping 35 votes with France and Denmark on our side. It sounds so absurd but what can I say we were awesome. Although MUN doesn't seem very important, the truth is there is some reality in it. Some of the things we did and said are till a certain extend what will happen in the real world.

UWC is probably one of the best and fun places to do MUN and we get a lot out of it (if you are willing to put in a little effort that is). There were so many hilarious things that happened that I won't be able to tell you all in this post. But one of the most unforgettable act was when delegates waved their shoes in the air while the US delegate spoke. That moment was glorious!!!!

We had the Iran delegates who never forgot to mention their Alla, the US delegates who were photocopies of Obama and how could I forget the Russian delegates who won the hearts of all member nations.

In a nutshell, RCNUWC MUN was Legend wait for it cause the Russian delegates were awesome dairy!!!!!!!
Point of order!!
On what grounds???
Too much awesomeness

The dreaded but extremely interesting Extended Essay-aka EE

I am very glad to announce that I finally decided on my EE topic.
I was in english class and I had my Facebook on (I was paying attention in class by the way) and we were talking about media and how it is perceived and how it thinks for us etc....(very interesting topic) and then suddenly I got a notification on FB about my friend's status update and it hit me all of a sudden.
That moment was truly magical I could almost here orchestra playing in the background I felt like I had found my quest for life(IB life) I felt like I finally had a mission to complete. I had finally found my EE topic.
I want to write on people's facebook status, I would like to write on what kind of language they use and how they are judged by their status and how other people see them. Its a bit rough by I will get there soon.
I really feel good about this topic. It;s gonna be legend wait for it dary

Science Day

One of the most fun moments here at RCNUWC. All the first years who took real sciences(physics, biology and chemistry)were called to the Hoegh at 8:ooam and was divided into groups of three. Each group included a biologist, chemist, and a physicist. I was the biologist and the chemist for my group.
I was teamed up with Fann(a girls from china but lived in Norway for quite a while - she speaks perfect norwegian) and Serban(a guy from Romania who happens to be our school DJ) both of them took physic and art and this made things really easy and smooth.
We were only allowed to use 30 papers, glue and scissors and had a time lapse till dinner.
We decided to name our group"ASIAN CHIXX" and yes Serban was a girl and female for the day. We made 2 hexagonal structure stuffed with paper(to make it firm) as road. It was glued to gather and was elevated by a paper box filled with scrape paper.
It took us about 6 and a half hours to get everything done, we also got some extra time to paint it. I must say our bridge looked very strong even though it didn't have a really good design. What mattered to us was the strength.
When Chris(physic teacher) tested our bridge by keeping weights on them our bridge could carry 4Kgs. It was AWESOME!!!!!!
I felt like I accomplished more than just knowledge I accomplished more than that today.
I also learnt today that I actually like working in teams and I am really happy about that.

XOXO
